'03 1500 trans problem
 

Hey everyone, new here with a question. my son has a '03 4x4 1500 with a trans problem. he bought the truck to fix up as a work truck changed the trans because it was stuck in overdrive but the trans he put in it has the same problem. any idea what would cause this? need help. thanks .

Did he change the convertor too?

If the lock up clutch is stuck it will be in overdrive and it'll stall when stopped. Does it drive at all? If it sticks in lock up and when stopping the truck, the engine will stall.

How do you know it is stuck in overdrive?

just talked to him and he said the trans wont go in any gear now, just sits there, strange it happened to both trans. any ideas on this. thanks for the replies..
