1990 Chevy C/K 2500 TMI 5.7 idles rough and has a miss in the engine
I brought this truck from a friend of mine because of the way it's running.
It was running extremely rough and back firing out the exhaust and a few times a flame came out the Throttle body. when I drove it home it would not go over 55 MPH and if you hit a hill your down to 40 MPH.
I used a short jumper wire to get codes from the Assembly Line Data Link and pulled up code 33-Manifold Absolute Pressure Signal voltage low and a code 43- basically the knock sensor, I took it out cleaned it up, checked it out for damage and put it back in, now that code is gone and i'm still fighting with code 33.
Replaced CTS, took off TPS inspected it cleaned it tested the connecter to make sure it was reading close to 5 volts, re-installed. The IAC was changed out as well, Tested EGR it is fine, EGR vacuum solenoid was removed checked, cleaned and re-installed.
I'm rebuilding the TB today and checking the injectors out good.
And my buddy put new plugs and wires on it not to long before it went to crap, i'm also thinking maybe the MAP is bad as well.
Sorry so long
