Hey guys i am new on the forums and i need advise. My truck has a blown gasket. and i wanna make it a manual at the same time. Should i replace the head gasket and make it a manual or should i get a new motor( which some people tell i should do ) and make it manual

if the gasket has been blown a while replace the motor. once you have the motor running good convert to a manual tranny.

if you can get a bigger motor to swap in id do that too just to justify a manual tranny. if the gasket just blew and the motor has not run with coolant inside it replace BOTH headgaskets and the intake gasket till you overwrap it and blow it up lol

Yea well my step brother had a friend borrow it and the head gasket blew and all the fluids drained. And would i have to do anything else to convert it
