Default 2006 Silverado, warped brake rotors

I have a 2006 Silverado and have had to replace the front brake rotors 3 times because they became warped. The lug nuts were supposedly tightened properly. Now after about 5000 miles I am starting to feel the vibration that I get when braking. This truck only has 56,000 miles and I am very easy on the brakes.
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions and is this common on this particular year. I had a 2000 previously with 175,000 miles and never had this problem. Thanks!

Larry

Buy aftermarket. Brembo or the like. I know a few of the 2500HDs are having issues, but only the ones that haul a lot of weight.

I say spend teh money and buy aftermarket rotors and pads. Do you have a 1500 or bigger?

Is everything working fine with the calipers and brake pads? Different reasons could be causing the pad to "skip" on the rotor which makes a flat spot and then feels like warped rotors. If they put too much grease on the brake parts then that is more than likely your problem. Some vehicles' rotors are prone to warpage. My friend's '07 Monte Carlo SS had stock rotors prone to warpage so he bought some aftermarket EBC dimpled and slotted rotors and hasn't had a problem since then. And make sure your tires are in good shape. If you have "out of round" tires they will cause different braking loads on the rotors and warp them. This happened to my old truck when a friend of mine slammed on the brakes and they locked up. This caused a flat spot on the front two tires which then lead to warped rotors. I had to get two new tires and do a front brake job.
