2008 Silverado Cv shaft replacement
 

Do you have to drop the lower control arm to take the cv shaft out of a 2008 silverado?

does it have torsion bars or coil springs?

I could be wrong as its been along time since I've done one...I think:

-remove the both s-bar links, push the sway bar out of the way
-mark cv stub shaft alignment and remove stub shaft to cv shaft bolts
-pull axle shaft down to clear the stub shaft
-remove axle nut
-remove cv shaft
