4L60E issues
 

This info is all second hand, trying to help out a neighbor:

Truck is an 02 K1500 4X4 w/4L60E tranny
Symptoms:
Truck shifts fine for quite a few miles (one incident was about 30 miles) then the tranny seems to just quit working, ie no shifting thru gears. Shut the truck off and leave it sit for awhile and it works fine again.

Any ideas?


Edit. I do not know if it's throwing a code for the tranny or not. I may try to get to the neighbors and check it out today. If you need any more info, let me know.

I would start by checking the fluid and checking for codes but it sounds like your neighbors trans issues may be heat related. When you say doesn't shift gears, does it not up shift or down shift? What gear does it stick in? May be going into limp mode

could be the servos or a fuse or replay, but it does sound heat related
