have a 94 cheyenne 4.3 4l60e. trans slips badly. economy dictates go cheap. found a 700r4 that's supposed to be good (crapshoot). what problems do i run into trying to use it instead of a 4l60e?

it'll take more effort than just bolting it in as the 700r4 is operated hydraulic and 4l60es are electronic

ok what's the "more effort"

the case is the same but there is no way to control shifting.
