i have a 93 c1500 with the tb 350. im wanting to do a 4.3tb instead of the small block. is this a bolt in swap? also will my stock ecu and configuration work with the v6? i know it sounds kinda dumb but keep posted why im doing it. thanx in advance

if gas miliage is why your swapping, dont wast your time, the v6 dident get mutch better gas milliage.. and no it doesent just bolt up. you need new motor mounts.. and mount relocaters. i had a pair but i threw em out cause i figure nobody would need them. you can probibly get them from a junkyard for about $30. and i dont think the ecu will work either its a tottaly diffrent chip. why do you want to put in the v6?

i have a 4.3 fully built with a twin turbo set up. came out of a s10 i totaled. ran 11.9 on street tires and pump gas. its running 18 psi max (9 per side)as of now. the 350 in my new truck is getting tired so i figured i would swap them out. the harrness looks the same but is it or is there going to be a re wire involved?

do you still have the computer out of the s10. cause most likely you will have to replace the whole computer system. with the engine swap. the old one might work... but its going to be alot of cutting and splicing. it might be just as easy as to swap computers aswell. the reason why i dont it will work is the 350 is 25% bigger the the 4.3. so the computer is what works the injectors, diffrent fuel delivery.so unless your 4.3 is carberted the engine needs the old computer.
