Anyone familiar with auto 4l60-E?

I have a 99 silverado automatic and the transmission on the table in pieces.. my valve body looks in great shape, but i noticed a little tear or hole in the gasket.. would this cause anything to not work in the transmission. The truck willl not move my guess is torque converter, because when the truck seized the fluid in the t/c would still have momentum and once the engine shaft stopped it couldve destroyed the clutches or something internal on the t/c. I have new gaskets for the valve body and will quad check the way my check balls go in. I have OnDemand 5 as a reference. Any info will be greatly appreciated. thanks
