Default brake light switch

I have a 2016 Silverado z71, my brake lights stay illuminated when the truck is completely off, and the only way by turning them off is pressing the brake pedal repeatedly. we had the switch replaced and still an on going problem, I put an after market stereo in it and some subs and an amp, a GM worker said it could tie into that problem so I went back to stock stereo. The dealership has also tested the BCM and that was fine, any one have any ideas what might be going on, were replacing the brake switch one more time hoping I got a bad switch and that's all.

Do the lights stay on with switch out, and connected, or without being connected?

only have had them while theyre connected. Theyre not on all the time, but when they are its a struggle some times to get them to kick off, they will randomly stay on while driving also, as if I was just riding the brakes the whole time
