Ok so a few lights are out so I took cluster out and no check eng light I see it in cluster but no place the buld can go is it in msg screen on a 99 rodo z71

I have never had any dash bulbs go out in my 99. The check engine light is in the message center. I did have several radio lights go out. Replaced them myself. Had to solder them in.

All I needed to know if it was in mgs center
I hate the lights I have to shop for cheap ones not paying 17$ for 1 might solder that's idea

The check engine light is on the left side of the cluster closer to the top the the bottom. I had to replace 2 this week. One on a 99 Tahoe and one on a 97 Silverado. It take bulb part #74. Take the sockets out 1 at a time by twisting and shine a flash light through the hole until you see.


It says service engine soon. Look in the picture below beside the tach. Unless you have a newer body style 99 (5.3 or 4.8) then it is above the tach as seen in the second picture

Nope its in msg center I see red words for a light but no hole for it so must be in msg center
