Converting Ext Cab LongBox To Dual Cab Shortbox...
 

My dilemma:

I would like my next truck to be a 2002 Chevy 2500HD Dual Cab Shortbox. But they are hard to come by, considering their popularity and my financial situation. So I plan on buying an Extended Cab Longbox, because they are slightly easier to come buy, cheap. Then converting to what I want. Can this be done? Are the frames identical, or not?
