If you google it, Don't rely on 1/4 mile time calculators you can find on the internet. They don't take into account drive line loss such as gear ratios and shift quickness.

Not sure what you're going to see at the track, but my 2500HD-4WD was pretty fast off the line at redlights(and quick in general) compared to most, before I got rid of the 410 gears.
A 2WD configuration should do well. 310+ horsepower, 410 gears, & 16"wheels used to be what they ran on dragsters back in the day...

1. its Vortec, not Vortech
2. the stock 6.0 in an hd is 300hp and 360lb ft.
3. they are slow, expect mid to high 15's in quarter.
4. custom tune to help it.

Yepper, quick for a stock truck when empty but made & geared for towing. Good off the line but not much of a dragster in the 1/4 mi. unless you entirely rebuild & program it.
