Drop Hangers not matching holes on the frame. 1977 C10
Hi, my son & I are new to this forum and we couldn't figure out how to post on the "Past Chevy Truck" section. That's why we ended up here. I just purchased my sons first truck- 1977 Cheyenne C10. Our question here is, we're working on leveling the trucks stance with the common 2-4" drop, & the new drop hangers that we had purchased doesn't quite line up to the existing holes on the frame. If I line up 2 holes on either side, the other 2 holes will be off about 1/2". Is it ok to drill out & make the holes larger on the frame? Or will that be unsafe? Or were these the wrong size hangers that I received? Please excuse us if this is a simple answer it's just that I've never lowered a truck before, and since this will be my sons truck I want to make sure it will be safe for him. Here's a picture of me lining up the 2 left holes & what position it ends up on the 2 right holes. Thanks in advance for the help.

i don't think the people who made you part's were to careful making them to spec ! call them first and if they cannot give a plausible excuse for the miss matched holes then i would tweak the hanger's a little bit with some heat and hammering enough to line the holes up to insert the bolt's.to big on the hole's will give you a problem keeping the bolt's tight .
