Erase 2nd O2 Sensor
can you just reprogram the computer to erase the 2nd O2 sensor when you remove the cats... i am assuming you could... and if you can are tune shops able to do this...I dont have any codes yet but i am just wanting to remove thesensorfrom my trucksmind so later in the future a code wont occur since there is no need for the sensor since i have no cats.

RE: Erase 2nd O2 Sensor
thats suprising cause my light cut on at least every other week after i cut my cats out the efi live tune will let you stop the light from being triggered by those particular dtc codes but usually they need to know exactly which ones they are that are giving you problems

There are some plugin units out there that mimick the 2nd o2 sensor code to the ecm. Try looking on summit racing's web sight and do a search for that unit.

RE: Erase 2nd O2 Sensor
yea i havent got no codes that directly seam to be towards the cats being gone... but i have gotten a lean fuel code. im not sure if it is because of the cats and it is having a hard time regulation the fuel because of it... thanks

RE: Erase 2nd O2 Sensor
i am throwing a low voltage from knock but i dont think that would be related to no cats...im thinking maybe the lean code could be from it.. but i would doubt it... i am going to further investicate the low fuel code... if i find it is in response to the cats being removed i will post. until then i will replace knock sensor and see if the will cause a ripple effect on codes.
