Default Fuel System probs

I have a 1997 Chevy Silverado 1500 with a 5.7L v-8. it will not start. It has plenty of spark but is not getting fuel to the intake. The pump is pressuring up but I'm wondering if it is not enough,. Any Ideas?

you could try repacing the fuel filter as stated above(if clogged that would do it)if not the fuel pump must have the right psi to work right..i had one in my blazer that i thought was good, it was pumping just not the right amount of pressure>>>

it may sound like its getting pressured up but the pumps can loose eficiency over time and not build enough pressure, there is a test port at the back of the engine on the fuel lines

I found the test port. gas dribbles out when pushed. Should it spray out?
