Help, Which cylinder is which?

Hi, I have a very simple question and I tried looking all over the web but can't find the answer. Which cylinder is which, what I mean is number, 1 - 8 on my 06 Silverado 1500 5.3L? I've asked a few who have worked on cars and they didn't know. I tried looking at each plug location and didn't see anything. Reason why is that I just purchased a set of JBA performance spark plug wires and wanted to install them myself. If anyone can help me out, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

As you are looking at the engine (with the hood up) the bank on the driver side (your right) are odd from front (closest to radiator) to back 1-3-5-7 and the passenger side (your left) are even 2-4-6-8 front to back.
