New guy, Wheel problems.
New guy here, i have a 2000 silverado z71 4x4, white regular cab, 4.8 5 speed, love the truck all together but im sure just like the rest of you on here i wanna do some customization to it. I am currently in the market for new rims and just found the set that i want to get but just hit a small bump in the road. I just realized idk what the heck i am looking at lol. I am going to do 18'' rims and a small lift, but back to the wheels....i dont exactly understand the whole "offset" portion of it all. I know the difference between positive and negative offsets but what i dont know is what can i go with and stay safe without having to cut and trim anything? The options they give are ( -12, +12 & +25 ) all with 6x139.7 (which is the correct bolt pattern right??) I hope i haven't gotten off on the wrong foot but starting off with so much right away. But thank's in advance for any info!

I take it the wheels are a 18x9? And what size tire do you want to run? Do you want the tires to stick out any or be tucked under? And yes that's correct bolt pattern.

Also, i had someone tell me that i could fit 20's on there stock with a set of 275/55/20's is this possible? Sorry for so many questions but i am eager to buy all this but then again i wanna make sure i know what will work before hand, dont wanna spend the money and it not fit.

With no lift, you could run the 18x9 +25 offset and that tire size you want, but that'll be the only way. And yes you can run the20s on that size with no change in suspension.

I recently put wheels and tires on my truck, I found H2 wheels on craigslist that were 17x9 with 5.5 back spacing, I put 315/70/17 on them and it looks great, the tires stick out flush with the fender flares, Filling the wheel well. If your looking for a full wheel well go with atleast a 9" rim, and do like a 305.
A question I have, is do you do any type of off roading? If you don't do a lift then you are going to be all rim and if you take a hard impact it could damage them.

Thank you all for the info, i have been on a couple other forums and obviously haven'd had anything but smart *** comments back, hence why i am here now. Another question to throw in, 33-12.50-18's, would that be a possibility? Found a pretty good deal on the tires and was wondering if they may fit ok?

Yes it could be, depending on if you want to trim just a tad of the lining on the inside. But I think that wheel should be fine as its offset is pretty close to stock
