Default No heat when cranked up.

Just wondering if this is a common problem. I get heat when the **** is turned in position 1-4 but if I put it in position 5 the blower quits out and I hear a clicking sound around the glove box (just one click). Any help is much appreciated.

Sounds like the blower motor resistor is starting to go.

Default RE: No heat when cranked up.

I have a similar problem on our '97 WT. I've read the many threads here regarding replacing the resistor, which is located behind the glove compartment. My problem is the fan will blow in every speed but high. (The high speed resistor is triggering when I turn the switch to high.) I excersized the connections on the resistor and the relay but still no high fan. The fan didn't work on high for several months and then it started working again. Then, when it turned cold a couple of weeks ago, no high speed.

Resistor or relay?

Thanks
