pcm controls it all with help from a few other sensors
thank you...that is what i figured but just wanted to make sure... but i checked my fuel pressure and it was at 40psi with engine off like 42psi with engine running at idle and when it reached 1000 rpms it got down around 30psi and by the tiem it got to 2 grand it was only at 10 psi and it started to lose power... so i am replacing fuel pressure regulator tommorow morning and it shoudl be good.. thanks for all the help on this project...

replaced fuel pressure regulator....i am now thinking it is the fuel pump... already replaced it and it is only about 4000 miles old... but the problems started shortly after replacing it.... i am almost positive that the check valve is bad in it... i just thought it would affect prime and not the actual running side...but it will be a free fix to see.
