I have a beater 1999 1500 5.3 that previous owner removed the cats. All 4 O2 sensors are still there and plugged in. I would like to get a tune to keep the CEL off. Where do you get such a thing ?

Ya, all 4 are hooked up. I would like to eliminate the rear two from turning the light on.

actually it's and organization. Black bear custom tunes. From what i understand, they are a family buisness. I believe they use the EFI Live programs and equipment

As country said, the oxygen sensor's purpose it so monitor the air/fuel ratio in your exhaust. The benefit of this to you is healthy, smooth running engine with optimum fuel efficiency. You could certainly do without these things if that were your choice. However, if your truck is a modern vehicle then you will get a CEL due to the missing sensors. What exactly do you drive?
Maybe you can help me as well. I drive a 95 K1500, now when i bought it i was told the O2 sensor didn't work because the wires were cut. I have replaced the Sensor, ($40) , and my CEL is still on and I went from getting 13mpg before the replacement to now getting 9mpg after. the truck has a flow master exhaust with NO cat converters.... also before the replacement i was burning really rich and now i'm not. any insight?
