omg mpg lost

Ok I cut muffler off and all I can say is omg I lost all my mpg I knew I would go down but not that much going to put it back on I can't eat gas like this

yeah my mufflers rotted out so we cut them off it killed my gas millege it was just shy of cutting it in half but not quite there. and it also killed my low end power not to mention it sounded straight awful

Back pressure is your friend, the same thing can happen when you remove the cat... newer engines and engine controllers as designed to give you maximum torque and power with all the factory systems in place (for the most part)

You would need to change the timing up to help accommodate the lack of back pressure lost due to the free flowing exhaust...

id much rather just pay to get the new exhaust i did a 6 hour drive without the mufflers and the droaning almost made me go crazy
