Default Stock Radio

I have a 2000 Silverado Z71

I have heard that the stock radio operates the keyless entry.. Anyone know if this is true?

There is 2 plugs that go to the stock radio and I didn't want to start dicing and slicing my dash if this is true..

Thx.

I know that in some honda civics in the late 90's had the keyless entry through the radio and you had to have the factory radio connected behind the dash but I havent heard of this in GM products. Im willing to bet that the Keyless module is seperate from the radio itself.
