tire size and lift info
Hey all,
I have a 2001 Silverado 1500 Z71 off-road 4wd. Currently completely stock. What are the biggest tires I can go with without and rubbing or body mods needed?
Also, within the next year or so I am looking to get a lift. I am either thinking the basic 2 or 3" leveling kit, or a 4" full suspension lift. I have seen some at rough Country that look pretty good. What are your reccomendations on brands. I do not do any off roading, and do use the truck to tow snowmobiles in the winter. If I go with a lift, what size tires can i run at that time?
Thanks in advance for the help!

RE: tire size and lift info
Go with the 4" and put some 35" Pro Comp extreme all terrains. www.4wheelparts.com agressive tread pattern, but still good on the street, and I believe they offer a tread life warranty.

What is Auto Track, and how do i know if i have it?
Does anyone know off hand what the backspacing on the stock rims is?

I am rather shocked. All the people on here and only 1 response with their suggestion?!?!?! Man what a dying board., I posted on Jeep forums for my wifes lift and had 25 responses in about 30 minutes. Oh well. Thanks for the info I was given Fireman!
