Default Turning and Muffler Question 91 C1500 2WD

Have a couple, completely unrelated questions regarding my truck

First, when I have the wheel turned all the way to one side or another while stopped, if I then accelerate, the front end seems to push. I don't know how to explain this other than you can feel and hear one of the tires actually being dragged across the pavement like one wheel is turned slightly more than the other. I don't notice this during normal turning. Is this normal?

Also, I am looking to replace my muffler as it is rusted open in several places. The trucks stock tubing is still in great shape. I am just looking for a easy bolt on replacement. I would like something that sounds decent, but not loud during normal driving. Maybe a Flowmaster 70 series. Has anyone put one of these on? if so, did you have it installed or is it bolt on. Also, does anyone else have any muffler recommendations? I have the 350 5.7. Thanks!

for the first question. it seems like it would be normal to me as the inner wheel while turning is turning more rapidly then the outside wheel.

im sorry i cant be of help for the 2nd question. hopefully someone will pipe up. if not. check youtube videos for 70 series mufflers with your type of motor.

Thanks for the responses so far. The turning issue is not something that I have ever had on any other vehicle I have ever owned, so I don't think its normal. The truck is 2WD, so the spinning of each tire should be independent from each other thus not an issue. But, now that I think of it, it seems to be doing what you would expect a vehicle to do thats in 4WD on pavement when making a sharp turn.

I would like to keep the stock pipes on the truck as they seem to be in good shape. I think they are 3 in, but I have not measured it to confirm. Any other muffler ideas? I really don't know much about mufflers so any advice would be helpful.

Default Tires scuffing

It is totally normal for tires to scuff on a sharp turn. One is making a larger circle than the other. If you have no abnormal tire wear or driving issues, forget it.

stock pipes will sometimes last longer than the truck will i hear some people say the size is somthen weired like 2.75 but idk and if you want a stock muffler the 70 might be for you if you want a nice sound then maybe the 50 or maybe even a turbo muffler

I just put a flowmaster cat back exhaust with a 50 series muffler on and I could not be happier. It fit like a glove, was easy to install, and added noticible power. It has a nice rumble without being to loud. Any tamer muffler you may as well go stock.
