2001 suburban 1500 to a 2014 silverado conversion questions

I have been searching without much luck fiding any specifics on a front end coversion to the new body style.

Would I use a silverado 1500 for a donor or can I use a 2500 for donor parts? can I use HD parts?

Do I just buy the parts, then remount the bumper, assemble and it all fits direct?

Does anyone have any experience with the body types that would know specific components that need replaced or fabbed? I expect the core support, and bumper mounts. Is that all (and then assemble with the replacement parts)?
will the lighting use the same connectors or did they change that type?

If anyone knows of a build log 0r literature I would really appreciate a tossing me a bone. Thank you in advance.

Do you really mean 2001, or do you mean 2010 and that was just a typo?

If you meant 2010, that should be a pretty straightforward swap. I've seen Silverados with Tahoe/Suburban front clips, and I've seen a Suburban with a Silverado front clip.

If you actually meant 2001, well, then, that's a little more difficult.

2001 is GMT800
2014 is GMT900

Two completely different platforms. I doubt any body panels would interchange, and I'm sure the seams are all completely different.

You can use an 00-06 Avalanche front clip, or the 03-06 Silverado front clip - those would be bolt-in conversions.

Converting a 2001 Burb to a 2014 Silverado would be prohibitively expensive.

I do mean in fact 2001. I just need to understand what I am getting into. I am under the impression that i may only need bumper attachment modifications and possibly the core support. (and all the parts of course. I have considered all years but I keep coming back to the the new HD. I remember seeing one where a guy did this but used a gmc doghouse.
