2001 Suburban 2500 LT Oil Leak

On my 2001 Suburban 2500 LT 2WD 6.0L it is leaking on both front corners of the transmission pan. The oil drips (on the passenger side) down the retaining bolts for the starter motor and along the bell housing cover. I have replaced the valve cover gaskets, the oil pan gasket and the oil cooler gasket. It is not red and it smells slightly burnt so I would say it is oil. Also a month ago I had the flywheel replaced and why they were in there they put in new tranny fluid and tranny pan gasket.

Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

I have the exact same problem. It is driving me crazy. I have only replaced oil cooler gasket. Some think It might be rear main seal, but on yours they should have noticed that while replacing the flywheel. I was going to start with oil pan gasket and go from there. Any hints on its removal?

oil pan gasket

Sorry no hints.. Looks like it is not to difficult.

Local mechanic said it may be the rear main seal. Taking it to a dealer tomorrow to look at the oil leak and the air conditioning tensioner pulley making noise.

Will let you know..

Took it to the dealer today and they said it could be a transmission seal. Recommended I take it back to the tranny shop that did my previous work.
