Tahoe & Suburban The power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.

We got a 2004 Suburban a couple months ago. I put all new 02 sensors and a Fuel composition sensor on cause it was showing those codes when we got it. Its done good for a couple weeks. Saturday it quit running in the driveway. Started back up a few minutes later after trying a few times. Thought it might have run low on fuel since it has the GM cluster issue every now n then. Put a few gallons in it. Today she took the kids to school and didn't make it. Kept stalling so I pulled her home. Starts fine and I revd it a few times. Seemed fine sitting there. I scanned it and headed to work. I hate being at work with a down vehicle so just wondering what you all think. It has 170k 5.3........p0174 p0171 p0178 p0131 p0151 p0171. I think most are lean codes. Clogged cats, weak fuel pump, vac leak, intake leak??? Just wondering if anybody has went down this road before with the Burbs or 5.3's in general. And I hate being at work right now hahahahaha

I would bet your fuel pump is almost dead. Check fuel pressure. Easy to do since there's a check port on the fuel line just before the engine fuel rail.

I'm with "rjm60", the fuel pump. I have a 2001 Yukon XL. I have had it for 6 years. I bought it with 103K, it now has 180K. One of the first things I had to do is change the fuel pump. I had some of the same issues, plus it could be hard to start. Had the fuel pump changed, haven't had a problem since.

The second thing I did was have the cluster fixed. Guy did a great job, been perfect since.....$64, 2017.
