Airbag issue, reader finds nothing
Question for you guys.. So Ive got an 09 Tahoe LT 4x4 with the 5.3l. It's had the Airbg light and Service Airbag message on for a few months now. Since winter finally ended I was able to start looking into this issue.
Now I've checked the wiring under teh passenger seat, and I've visually/physically inspected the two sensors behind the front bumper cover. All seem good. My codereader (Innova 3100 ABS) finds nothing.
Does anyone know roughly what the average dealer charges to pull SRS codes? Or any other common places to look?
Thanks!

your code reader can't access body codes but the codes are there. If you live in the states...some autopart chains will pull codes for free. Phone and ask the dealer what they charge to pull codes with no diagnosis?

the first step is pulling codes. diagnosis from a dealer is probably one hour at whatever the door rate is in your area. $140 approx.
if the srs light is flashing 7x at start up and them staying illuminated...the system is running a diagnostic and setting a code.
even knowing the code...unless its a impact sensor which is something you can diagnose yourself....other faults required a srs load tool. Going to a shop that does not have this tool would be a waste of time and money.
