2007+ GM OEM Navigation Part Number Pairing 15940102,15882766,25797978,25894202

For the GM OEM Denso navigational units, how do you distinguish which part number is correct for your car? I know if you call a GM dealer they can sometimes pull up your VIN#, and tell you what RPO codes you have. But what RPO codes go with what navigational unit part number?

Here are all the 07+ NAV w/DVD part numbers:

15940102
15882766
25797978
25894202
25966513 (USB)

Looking forward to hearing some feedback and hopefully getting some RPO code and part number cross references.

Thanks

Are these Nav P/Ns all for '07s or any NBS SUVs? Your parts dept may be your best source of this info if no one here has any answers.

Those are all the part numbers I know of for 07+ that are the nav units with DVD capability. I am trying to distinguish which nav part numbers go with what RPO codes on the vehicle so I can properly match the nav units with the correct vehicle.

I am pretty sure that you must have Bose (I think the UQA) option. But not sure past that point as far as compatability goes.

There's probably some compatibility issues between model years also. I was told, for instance, the there were changes made for the 2010 design. Unfortunately none of them seemed to be improvements.

Yeah I know that blue tooth was added in 2009 (I think). But I was told that if the donor vehicle has blue tooth, but your vehicle doesn't, the blue tooth will not carry over with the nav unit. Then of course in 2010 they began making the units with a usb rear hookup.

I was told that ALL 07,08,09 units tahoe, yukon, silverado, sierra, avalanche, denali, suburban, will work with each other, and that it is not the part number that distinguishes the RPO code, but how it is programmed at the dealer with the Tech II programmer. So essentially if this theory is correct, any of those part numbers I referenced in my original post would work, you just have to turn on and off the correct RPO settings during the tech II programming.

I am just trying to verify if this is true or not...

Anybody have any other insight to offer on this topic? Just trying to do some research because I know it is a common question amongst people trying to upgrade their cd player to nav.

Is there a list of know unit that don't support RSE DVD capabilities so we can easily mark those off the list? Thanks
