2007 Suburban Vibration when decelerating

Ok guys I have a weird situation. I have a 2007 Suburban LTZ 5.3 4x4 with 245,000. All new brakes rotors and pads as well as speed sensors. Heres my problem. Once I let off my gas pedal to slow down, whether I coast to slow down or use my brakes there is a wicked vibration/shudder felt through the whole vehicle once 25-20 mph is reached. The vehicle does not do this when accelerating nor does it do it if I manually drop it into any other gear other than Drive, and also does not do this if I have the Tow/Haul option engaged. Checked my fluids, had my transmission serviced. Still cannot figure out what is going on. Can anyone please help me out? Please this is driving me and everyone in my family nuts!!

I would check the wheel bearings. Also possibly bad rear end or ujoints. Look for play in the driveline.

Is the truck lifted? deceleration changes rear pinion angle. I'm wondering if you have a extreme u-joint angle or bad ujoint as already mentioned ?

could also be CV axles

I have an 07 Suburban LT and have this SAME thing.
I've had the quirky warning for stabilitrak and notice it does not do it when stabilitrak is being a jerk (going off on its own). a shop owner told me it's something with the stabilitrak system losing track of where a wheel is or something.
Mine does it whether I brake or let it slow itself down coasting, and if I brake lightly & feel it then let off brake it still continues for few seconds.
I have 2200$ of brake service completed yesterday & still had it happen when I picked it up yesterday evening. 🤷*♀️
You're not alone!

Since you get a warning light, did you scan for diagnostic faults?

Sounds like ABS misbehaving. Usually caused by dirty or faulty wheel speed sensors.

Nope, I just signed into this forum looking for the same solution. Just started tonight. I'll get to the bottom of it if I can and let ya'll know! I've got 238000 and running strong so far other then this pesky problem.

A full spectrum scan is step one. Not just P codes but all 4 code families of P, B, C and U need to be checked as a first step for any clues for any system issues like a wonky sensor.
Could be binding U joint but only check is to drop both driveshafts and feel them. Had a front shaft U joint binding in my old '99 Yukon and it surprised me as only used 4wd in winter in snow.

Anybody made progress on finding the solution to this? I have the same thing with my 08 Yukon XL. I've taken it to several mechanics and transmission specialists, and gotten different answers from each of them. One suggested I replace the spark plugs and wires and found a broken engine mount. So we fixed those and it still shudders between 25 and 20 mph on deceleration with or without brakes. Another suggested replacing the front wheel bearings, but when I check for any play in those wheels myself in the lateral plane (with tire jacked up off the ground), I can't sense any at all. Another thinks it is the torque converter and wants to take apart the tranny and rebuild whatever he finds in there....which could be a costly endeavor. I tried some Lubeguard Instant shudder fixx in the transmission yesterday, and have driven about 10 miles so far (with no improvement noted).
Any other ideas?
