forgive my ignorance, but I do not know how to reset the ethanol sensor, where is it? could you explain to me ?, I am really desperate because I need the car, and I do not have anyone else to go to except you. many thanks .

its reset with a scan tool. a code reader won't do it; you need a quality scan tool that has bi-directional control.

find a scan tool....see what the % the sensor is reading...if its not 85% ...you know the sensor is askew...reset the sensor with the scan tool. If this sensor is askew, it throws out the fuel trim metering calculations and you get rich or lean dtc

Somebody tell me what the advantage is of using Flex Fuel? E85 is about .02 difference from 87 regular where I am.

just so ya know---start a new thread for a different topic.

the only advantage is the fuel burns cleaner....less emissions is good for the planet,

the bad...
-costs more than regular fuel
-less energy in the fuel so less mpg
-made from crops....so it takes these crops out use for human consumption
-if its put in a non flex fuel vehicle...the metal components in the fuel supply and injection system will corrode.
