Default 454 on a 1500 sub? is it possible?

Yesterday I blew out the head gasket on my 350 5.7L V8 engine so I decided to replace it with a remanufactured engine instead of fixing the gasket itself. I have a 1997 Chevy Suburban and its a 1500 LS. Will a 454 7.4L fit in er? Or is just for the 2500s?

Welcome to the forum.

While it will probably fit, don't forget all of the accessory brackets and exhaust manifolds won't. May have radiator/fan clearance issues too. Figure how much you think it'll cost and then double it. Good luck.
