Back up lights out?

I have a 96 2-door tahoe and the back up lights are out. i have reaplaced the bulbs. didnt fix the problem. i cleaned the conector boards. Still no back up lights. I thought i would try and replace the conector boards because thats the simplest way i know how to try and fix it. Any ideas thanks

check your fuse

replace the backup light switch on transmission, if fuses and such are good.
