Backup sensors

I bought my tahoe without the backup sensors. I want to install a backup sensor system because the rear of the truck is a giant blind spot. Has anyone installed an aftermarket system. I have found what looks to be a pretty good system at www.reversebackingsystems.com. has anybody had any experience with them? Does anybody have an aftermarket system that they have any experience with?

RE: Backup sensors

I was just getting ready to ask the same thing. I can't see too well over the 2nd row myself. Dealership says that it's the whole bumper that comes that way and that I would have to add something else to make it work. Did you ever get anything for it?

WELL LOPEZ I JUST PURCHASE A NEW HOE, MINE ALREADY CAME WITH BACKING SENSORS. I'M A TECHNICIAN FOR TOYOTA, WE INSTALL THEM ALL THE TIME. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS DRILL HOLES AND THE SENSOR CLIP RIGHT IN, SO IF YOU CAN FIND SOME AFTERMARKET ORTRY OEM YOU DONT HAVE TO BUY THE WHOLE BUMPER.

RE: Backup sensors

I also have a 2007 Tahoe, but got the sensors built in. I just purchased a backup camara from Costco for $90. Comes with all you need to install and is a great alternative to what you are looking to do. Save yourself the trouble and get the camera intead.
