dead gauges

Hi there,

I just had the following happen on my 3000-mile 2008 Tahoe: while driving back home suddenly all gauges dropped to zero (including speedo and tach) for 2 or 3 seconds and then back on... Then on the rest of the trip (1 hour) everything was fine... Any ideas why this hapened???

Thanks a lot for any help.

May be a loose wire or something going to a fuse, or it could be that you blew a fuse and it reverted to backup.

A similar thing happened with our 2002 Suburban last week, I went to the fuse box and made sure all fuses were sitting tight. I went back and turned on the car and everything was fine. Hopefully, you will be as lucky by trying this.

Does it have backup fuses? I am going to check to see what I find...

Thanks,

I'm pretty sure only the space shuttle model of the Tahoe has backup systems
