Default thinking about headers for my tahoe

i want to put headers on my 2010 tahoe . has anyone done this. hows it sound and how the power. i am worried that i might melt the plug wires i heard this once before. also dont know if i should get shorties or longtubes. longtubes will require changin the cats and a new ypipe. any body have any input?

you may get more info under the silvarado forum.
regarding the plug wires you can wrap the wires or the headers with heat shield and you wont have any problems. Headers are a great power adder so if you get it done be sure to update us. I am interested in the outcome

Recommend getting them Jet-Hot coated if you do decide to get headers. Really lowers the temperature.
