E85 vrs. 87 octane
 

2011 5.3 suburban flex fuel. Is there any pros or cons on using E85 over regular unleaded other than cost?

Hello as for e85 . Ok pros an cons . Cost it's alot cheaper but milage goes way down about a quarter of what you would get on regular gas.. pro power after you run a couple tanks you will notice a significant increase in power and responsive. Cons milage . It definitelyakez it more fun once the computer switches it's tune to it . I have run it in many of my cars and I found what works the best for me is run it half and half with 93 or higher. It makes the milage part definitely better and still has the power of just the e85. .I ran it till it was just about put pf gas fill it half with 85 other half 93.then I would not let it Bellow a half tank and then would fill it with just 85 then next just 93at half tank . Never had issues and ran alot better

If you would plan on tuning it E85 is definitely alot easier to make a crap load of power . Also burns cooler then gas.
