ELC Red Coolant...
 

Hey guys,I've read/heard that the Dexcool is not a recommended coolant anymore,I have some ELC Red coolant left over from doing a flush on my '99 F250 7.3 diesel,the ELC is a coolant rated for 500,000 miles,(we run it in big trucks),would there be any reasons NOT to run it an '04 Tahoe(5.3)?....Thoughts.....thanks alot

There is nothing wrong with Dex-cool as long as it is maintained properly. The cooling system was designed for it. If you want to get away from the Dex-cool you need to use a coolant recommend for all makes and model
