Headrest DVD install

I am getting ready to install headrest DVD units in a 2003 suburban LT. They are prewired etc. I figured out how to remove the old headrests. When i install the new, what is the best way to run the cables in the seats? Does the bottom come undone so you can grab the wires? Also i noticed a CD/Aux button on the HU. Is there an aux cable in the back of the HU, what is the best way to get to it. I assume this is an input as well?

Thanks in advance

Search for a thread showing how to install a NAV system and I believe it will show you how to remove the seat back. There is a little trick to it and if you don't know what it is you can ruin your seat back whrer it will not stay in its proper position when reinstalled. I believe it is on this forum. Might be a sticky. MAybe head rest dvd install.

Ruikee: Welcome to the forum.

The Aux jack on the front of the head unit is for an ipod or mp3 player input. Don't know if there's a similar connection on the back.

Thanks for the welcome, I dont see any jacks on the front of the HU. There is just a button that says CD/AUX. I figured maybe it switched to another jack when pushed. I will look again but i do not believe there is a jack on the front.

I missed the year. The NBS has a aux jack on the front.

Thanks, what is an NBS? So is there an aux jack on the 2003 HU?

NBS = New Body Style = GMT900 = 2007+

Not aware of a jack on the OBS/GMT800.
