Loud Machine Gun Sound from Under ‘06 Tahoe
Hello CF Friends. I am in a pickle with my ‘06 Tahoe. On occasion, a loud machine gun sound can be heRd from under the vehicle. Was told it could be a wheel bearing. The sound is not consistent but it does increase/decrease with acceleration/deceleration.
I replaced the passenger front wheel bearing after trying to diagnose which one it could be. I did this based on the shake test. Is there a better way to figure out which bearing could be bad? Could this be a completely different issue? Checked the drive shaft for anything that could be hung up but found nothing. Also no fresh marks. At a loss. Not good at diagnosing but I can fix most problems that are not engine related. Any help is greatly appreciated! Best, Dean |
