Made in Mexico? No....

New to the Forum and did do a search.

Is the Tahoe American made or is it made in Mexico. I was at a dealership looking at a few model and saw that the Suburban in made in GJ, Mexico, but could not find a Tahoe with a Content Sticker. I am aware that some of the Tahoes, are made in Janesville and Arlington. Will the 09's be made in America as well, considering the fate of the Automotive Industry.

Thanks Much
Ike

RE: Made in Mexico? No....

according to the sticker in the drivers door my (07) was made right here in Texas. If I recall I read somewhere that the 07's were about 70% American made with the other 30% being Mexico or Canada and the 08's were going to be about 60% American...

I believe GM recently closed the Janesville, WI plant due to the dropoff in SUV sales.
