Nav unit install help please

OK I know this has been covered here and I'veread through all of the past threads on installing a NAV/DVD radio.
[ul][*]I have a NAV/DVD radio w/bose out of a 07' Suburban coming to me[*]I am installing it intomy 08' Silverado that also has Bose[*]So it should be a lot easier because I don't have to mess with any amps.[*]I know that I need to install the GPS antenna[*]I know that I need to have it unlocked[/ul]
Here are the questions I need answered:
[ol][*]I know about the VSS wire but I hear that JP Customs is no longer in business. Can this be done without their harness? If so how?[*]I know about theVCIM (onstar) for voice recognition. How do I tie into this?[*]Anyone know a source for the GPS antenna cheap?[/ol]

Am I missing anything?

Thanks,
Steve

Go to a GM dealer for the antenna..its only about $20. The VSS needs to have a pin inserted into the radio connector and it must be the right pin. Same goes with the voice recognition....the harness that you get, has a connector on one side to plug into the VCIM, and the other side has a couple leads that you have to pin into the radio harness. If you go to a dealer, they can get the parts for you and build it.
You don't need to do the voice recognition harnessthough, the nav will work fine without it, you just won't be able to use voice commands

VSS goes to pin 5 of the brown connector at the radio, and connects to the back of the junction box uder the drivers side of the dash. It goes to a green\white wire in the big connector on the bottom

Here is a schematic for the onstar mic
