New here and remote start question

Hello everyone, new here. also I would like to install a remote start alarm on my 2002 tahoe 2wd 5.3L. I have it all connected but i cannot get the remote start to work. I far as I can tell it has no immobilizer key or on-star. I can sure use some help on this. I wiring diagram or something of the nature would be truly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

you have to get a bypass module to bypass the passlockII. You will need one to control the doorlocks anyways
look for an XKO1-AMDL
that'll be your cheapest bet and they are pretty good modules as well

I looked up the bypass refered to my tahoe XKO1-AMDL. and it's from 2003 and up. mine is 2002. I also looke under the dash and didn't see where it would connect. Also looked at the 12 volt web site, but nobody refers to hooking up a third ignition wire. that's on my vehicle. I connected the the remote start, it tries to crank but does not stay on. If i turn it on with the key and activate the start feature it stays on with no problem. I'm missing something and just don't see what it can be. Anyother suggestions I would truely appreciate it and thanks in advance again.

All fullsize suv/pickup's have a theft control module built into the column/key cylinder.
Any module that is Class 2 data 95-2007 should work. The fullsize truck and fullsize suv went to class 2 data for the door locks in 2003-2006. You will need the part ShawnVW stated. It will work.

sorry i did not notice you said 2002. The AMDL will work but it won't control your doorlocks. A cheaper module(about $40) will work to control the passlock. From the same manufacturer, its called a PLJX (some also call it PLXR, same module).
