Default O2 sensor wiring

Howsit everyone, I have a problem trying to rewire the O2 sensor bank2 sensor1 after the harness got sheared off from replacing the transmission. I was not able to find any help from google on this so I came here. This is what I got going, on the sensor side I got brown, brown, purple and either beige or tan (I cant really see colors too well) On the harness side they are faded but I belive it is black, purple, either beige or dirty white and tan but seems to almost have a pinkish hue on the tan wire.
The truck is a 98 Tahoe LT with the 5.7 vortec 4x4.
Anyone got this year or know what wires I should be connecting to what?

O2 Sensor terminals, wire colors
A- TAN (or TAN/WHITE) --Sensor (low)
B- PURPLE (or PURPLE/WHITE) -- Sensor (high)
C- BLACK -- Heater (gnd)
D- PINK -- Heater (+12V)
If I were to guess, your sensor heater would be the brown wires, connect them to the black and pink harness wires.
Then connect the purple and tan to the matching harness wires .
Hope this helps.

if the section of damaged wiring is part of the harness before the 02 sensor connector, it can be repaired. If it is any part of the wiring that comes out of the sensor itself, a new sensor must be installed. the sensor draws reference air through one of the wires...this can never be repaired.
