OnStar

Hey everyone new to the forum just picked up a 03 Tahoe LT and tried to use onstar and noticed it will not connect it goes through the automated deal but when it says connecting to a representative it comes back after a minute and says cant connect.. I called onstar they said have the stealership look at it. I don't like them touching my vehicles so i come here.. Where should i start troubleshooting

You could have the old analog OnStar unit in your vehicle. If so, you will need to get it upgraded to the new digital system.

Here is a link to see if your vehicle needs an upgrade. If it does, it looks like it will cost you $15 through OnStar if you prepay one year of service.

Thanks! I think that may be why i cannot connect to an agent. I looked up the vin and it says it should be an analog connection.
