Default Question About Electric Windows.

The drivers door window stopped working properly.Upon opening the the door panel I discovered that the wire cable was broken. This cable feeds into a small motor and actuates the up and down motion of the window.

Am I able to just buy the broken cable or do I have to buy the whole assembly?

PS: This pertains to a 2002,2500,4WD Suburban.

It sounds like the cable from the lift motor to the guide is cut. You can get that part at parts store such as autozone.

I have soldered them back together before. I also used heat shrink tubing.
