Dic

i'd agree to it being optional in the DIC...

they could have made a LOT of things better w/that...

also.. on a 60k truck; where the hell is my auto up AND down on ALL windows?

I've seen 15k cars do this...

Or you can just buy a new one as they dropped the feature in 2010. :(

The original RainSense worked a whole helluva lot better than RainSense II.

Caddy

does the Caddy still have rainsense?

73shark November 30th, 2010 8:07 AM

Not sure but I doubt it.

Just confirmed: http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...e-changes.html

Also removed the power 2nd row seats from the front console which I miss.

Yea...

another reason I want an X5... but that's a long story...

although I do like the Range...

Does the expedition have automatic wipers?

SabrToothSqrl November 30th, 2010 8:28 AM

Yes

Yes, the ford does:

Rain-sensing wipers can detect rain, snow or road spray hitting your windshield, and automatically run at just the right speed. You don’t have to take your hands off the wheel or other controls to adjust your wipers as weather conditions change. The system does this for you. And you can set its sensitivity to suit your needs. It is standard on Expedition XLT Premium, Limited and King Ranch®.

I've learned 2 things from buying a brand new 2009 Tahoe LTZ...
1. never buy a car over 25k new... always 1 year old...
2. never buy a GM...

^ check the Ford forums, there are issues with the rain sensing system also...

IMO Ford and GM have come a long way; however, both still have issues.

SabrToothSqrl November 30th, 2010 1:06 PM

Yea

I'm sure they do, but the disapointment on the build quality / fit / finish of my $53k truck has jaded me to the point where... never again...

that's all. I won't bring it up again :)

^ it's all good, this is a forum for discussion :). I feel the same way regarding the mustang my wife bought a while back.

I 100% agree^^^
Having the option to disable should be a no-brainer!
I can't stand them, they always do the opposite of my preference.
