Right Taillight
 

Okay, I was putting in my new set of LED Tailights that I just received. I hooked up the right taillight, and went to try it out, but nothing came on when I flipped the lights on. I step on the brake and it comes on. The reverse light also comes on when in reverse. I figure it's a defective light, maybe. Had one before. I go and put my original light back on, but the same thing happens. Right taillight doesn't come on when I turn the lights on. Any ideas? I thought maybe I blew a fuse, but if I did, that would mean that the entire light wouldn't work, right? Replaced it anyway, and still nothing. Think it might be the harness that might have gone bad? One of the light insert thingies, ( sorry, don't know what it's called), is a little yellowish. Hadn't noticed it before, but then again I hadn't paid attention to it before.

Any ideas on what might have caused it or what it might be? Any help appreciated.

I installed mine and did the same thing, tried out the right side first. Didn't see anything when I turned the headlight switch on, but, then remembered that the lights don't come on unless the key is turned on. Turned the key and BAM ! Let there be light ! I hope that's your problem.

Oh man, I WISH that was the problem. Same thing caught me with the first set that I got. This time I actuallyturned the truck completely on. Thanks tho.

Anyone else have any ideas on what the problem might be, or what caused it?

The front parking light run on the same fuse so if the fronts are working then your fuse is okay.
Probe the wire just behind the connector to see if you have power there. you may have a broken wire or loose connection withing the connector
