Default adding oem brake controller 2018 suburban

my 2018 suburban has trailer pkg but no built in brake controll. What do I need to add it

if you can get a dealer installed option its the best but more expensive. Most factory kits have sway control programming...its uses the vehicles abs/stability system to control and correct trailer sway. aftermarket controllers cannot do this. the ones I have installed involve dealer programming. the controller is a straight plug and play. buy the kit from the dealer and have them do it.


aftermarket kits are cheaper...tekonsha makes the best controllers in the aftermarket. Your truck should come with a connector that you plug into the truck and wire up to the controller blunt cut wires.
